INTERVIEW WITH PETRA SVOBODA - traditional beauty

She is beautiful, successful, busy, and moreover it looks like she does not age. We talked with the well-known host Petra Svoboda about the reasons for her success and what her path to anti-aging has been.

During your life, you have tried several jobs, from modelling to editing, up to host and even the occasional actress. What do you like most among these activities?

I was always tempted by the world of media and I wanted to work in it, so I studied PR and media communication. I started as an editor for several magazines, was occasionally engaged in modelling and worked for two years in Abu Dhabi as a PR manager. Later on, after returning to the Czech Republic, I went to Nova TV through an audition. And I can say that the job of a host totally satisfies me. I also love to try new things and accept challenges. A role in a film is a pleasant diversion for me, as well as hosting private evening events which I also enjoy.

What was it like to act in a movie? Who did you actually represent?

As I said, it was a pleasant diversion and a new experience. I have always been interested in how a movie is made and I liked being a part of it. I played an approximately 30-year-old auditor, Danka, who gets her younger brother out of troubles and thanks to that, she actually falls in love.

Hosting television news is difficult. Are you ever nervous or have you already gotten used to it?

Of course, stage fright is a part of live broadcasting and in the beginning I was nervous a lot. Today it is better, but I still have great respect for my profession and I try not to underestimate anything.

Little girls desire to be singers, models, or even better princesses. Was this also the case for you? Or did you want to be something completely different? Have you longed for work in the media ever since?

As a little girl, I wanted to be a singer. However, I started to lean towards work in the media in elementary school already. I enjoyed writing essays, I contributed to school magazines ... So I actually do now what I wanted to become.

It is said that in the media you must have sharp elbows and brother does not know brother ... Did you have luck and find a soulmate in the business?

Of course during my ten years of working in media, I have encountered prejudices and people who were not very friendly. But they were the minority. I can say that I’ve had luck with my colleagues and I am on friendly terms with a number of them.

How do you view fashion? Which style do you prefer and what would you never wear?

I love natural colors such as beige, brown, white and also natural materials like suede, wool, cotton or silk. I prefer simplicity over pomp.

Speaking of fashion ... Do you have a favorite brand or fashion designer that never disappoints you?

In my everyday life, I like shopping over the internet; I like for instance the brand ALL Saints. From Czech designers, I work together with the Tradice brand, represented by the fashion designer and illustrator Zuzana Osako or with the fashion salon Poner.

You are fully busy and you are moreover the mother of a five-year-old daughter Rachel. How are you able to manage all this?

Fortunately the whole family helps me, including my partner. We also have Mrs. Jitka, who sometimes babysits Rachel. However, it is sometimes difficult to organize everything.

How does your daughter take after you?

I think Rachel is already a big personality now. She definitely inherited a bit of stubbornness and impatience from me, but she is also very curious.

What is your best moment?

It's definitely the moments with my daughter and partner.

Your work is very challenging not only for your psyche, but also for your skin and hair. Before each broadcast, you're loading your skin with a lot of makeup, and this is combined with stress ... Has it had consequences for your skin?

On my skin and hair, of course, the daily stress is of course visible. I have been helped a lot by Mrs. Monika Golková with whom I am cooperating, as well as by the procedures at the Anti-Aging Clinic A2C. For example, thanks to a special vitamin infusion, I have more energy and well-hydrated skin. My hair is in the long-lasting care of the salon Yes visage.
